Harry Wesch is an accomplished Associate Director of MEP Engineering at HLZAE, where he leads the design and management of mid to high-scale MEP engineering projects. With a decade of experience under his belt, Harry’s role involves overseeing projects from conception to completion, managing client relationships, and spearheading business development efforts. He also manages a team of two Project Associates, emphasizing the technical and professional development of his team while fostering and maintaining essential business relationships.

Harry’s journey into the world of mechanical engineering started with an early passion for cars, which eventually evolved into a fascination with mechanical systems and a love for problem-solving. This passion led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the New York Institute of Technology, laying the foundation for his future career.

The uniqueness of Harry’s role at HLZAE lies in the variety of work types and the constant challenge of communication and management. Every day presents a new set of challenges, making each day distinctively different from the last. This dynamic environment keeps him engaged and continuously learning, which he finds incredibly fulfilling.

Professionally, his favorite project to date has been the large-scale gas piping replacement at 5 East 22nd Street, an endeavor that significantly shaped his expertise and provided a wealth of practical learning.

Outside of his professional life, Harry is devoted to his family, cherishing time spent with his wife and young son. He also enjoys an active lifestyle that includes surfing, snowboarding, and mountain biking. A fun fact about Harry is that he is a 4th generation bearer of his name, with his son proudly becoming the 5th generation Harry, continuing a unique family tradition.
